Microcontroller Project Laboratory

What's common to your TV, cell phone, microwave, car, printer, and over? They are all run by a microcontroller - a complete computer system on a single chip.

This class will introduce students to modern microcontroller technology through a series of practical, hands-on laboratory projects, including:

  • Robotic motor control
  • LED and LCD displays
  • Sound generation and detection
  • Infrared and radio communication.
Each student will receive a microcontroller experimentation kit that can be programmed from a personal computer.

A $30 lab fee is required on the first day of class.
